For counselors
Make a link for each student or parent. When they finish, they email you a link to their report. Nothing is stored on this site, and no one needs an account.

2. Your deck
Use the standard deck, or make your own: add cards and categories, turn standard cards off, and save it as a template to reuse with every student. Templates are saved on this device. Use “Share code” to move one to another computer or give it to a colleague.

How it works
- The sort. cards in the selected deck, shown one at a time in random order. Each goes into Must Have, Would Be Nice, Want to Learn More, Doesn't Matter to Me, or No Way. Must Have is capped at , so students have to choose. Want to Learn More (capped at 10) holds cards a student can't judge yet; the report turns it into a research list with a question for each card.
- Pausing. Progress saves in the student's browser. They finish by reopening the same link on the same device.
- College ratings. At the end, students can rate the colleges on their list against each Must Have card, and optionally each Would Be Nice card. The report ranks the colleges by a weighted fit score (Must Haves count double) and shows which cards produced each score.
- The report. Shows which categories carry the most weight, the Must Have and No Way cards with a question for each, pairs of choices that pull against each other, and the college ratings. It prints cleanly.
- Private cards. Before finishing, students can mark cards private. Your report shows them, tagged. The family version of the report leaves them out without any sign that something's missing.
- Your own deck. Cards you add travel inside each link you make, so students see your deck with no setup on their end. Reports, comparisons and re-sorts all carry your custom cards.
- Parents and re-sorts. Make parent links above. From any report, open Counselor tools to make a re-sort link; the new report shows what changed since the last sort. Paste two links in step 4 to compare sorts.
- Privacy. The results live inside the link itself. Anyone holding a link can open that report, so treat links like any student record. See Privacy.
